Making of a Line Follower Using Micro-controller

We are very glad to announce the workshop for all students interested in ROBOTICS. It is “the Line Tracer using Micro-controller – Pratham 09 ”

There will be total 20 teams (each team is of 03 members) allowed from various colleges and industries in Pune city.

Registration fees will be charged from these teams, which is as given below.

Congratulations

Hearty Congratulations to RSC members for First Prize

IEEE had arranged annual project competition in Hyderadabad
The competition was open to UG students(IEEE members) from India. Our 4 students  Nikhil Naik, Sanmay Patil, Nirad Phansalkar ,Aaditi Lonahari  won first prize of 20,000/ for their project “Automatic Servilience System” and staff advisor, Dr.Mrs.M.A.Joshi also got certificate and membership fees of next year of IEEE along with society fees.

Robot Study Circle is to organize a Workshop on Basic Electronics in Robotics followed by Seminar by Sonawane Sir,Dept. of Instrumentation and control on using Microcontrollers & Microprocessors.
Seminar Topic- Embedded systems in Robotics
Outline of Workshop-
1.Concepts in Basic Electronics.
2.Digital circuit design using Logic Gates.
3.Some basic circuits like motor driver,7 segment,timers etc.
People interested in workshop should register for it in
Centralized RSC lab, Production Dept. COEP between 6 to 7 pm.
Maximum number of participants in a team is TWO.
Workshop charges are as follows : For RSC members : Rs 550 per team.

For Non RSC members : Rs 600 per team

Teams will be performing practicals on a logic board which can be taken away.

Workshop will take place on 17 Jan.09

Note:Only first 30 teams will be registered.

Note

A paper submitted by Prof. S.S.Ohol, The Faculty Coordinator of RSC, entitled as “ Simulation of Multifinger robotic gripper for dynamic analysis of Dexterous grasping ” to the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science 2008  which will be held in San Francisco, USA, on  22-24 October, 2008.,  has been accepted for the WCECS 2008, with GOOD grade, best paper nomination, selected for conference publication and off-course with acceptance rate of 56.71 % as quoted by the organisers.

The conference will be held at the Clark Kerr Campus, a popular university conference center of UC Berkeley in San Francisco Bay Area, about one hour drive from the San Francisco International Airport, USA.
